Alex Miller and Brianna Habben represented Greene County at the Ballard 18-hole golf triangular with Woodward-Granger on April 13. Illness and injury prevented the Rams from having a team score. WG shot 436 and Ballard 439.
Miller carded 52-52=104 while Habben had 62-60=122. Miller was just three shots behind the medalist and one away from being runner-up.
“Overall, I was pleased, but we need to get healthy to compete as a team,” stated coach Josh Carlson.
Greene County hosted Kuemper Catholic in a dual meet at The Hill golf course on Friday, April 16. The Rams posted their first win of the season 241-251.
The Knights’ Abby Neese was medalist with 49 while GC’s Miller was runner-up at 50. Additional Greene County scores were Brianna Habben 55, Josey Weaver and Afton Funke 68.
“I’m pleased with the steady improvement so far and look forward to the girls getting better and enjoying the game of golf,” Carlson said. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
